- Receive a charitable income tax deduction based on the value of the gift
- Local communities benefit through continued tax revenue and farm operations
How to make a gift of real estate
Your real property may be given to South Dakota Community Foundation by executing or signing a deed transferring ownership. You may deed part or all of your real property to South Dakota Community Foundation. Your gift will generally be based on the property's fair market value, which must be established by an independent appraisal.
Growing for Good (Land Management Program)
You have focused on yielding a harvest your entire life. Under our Growing for Good program, your land can continue to provide a charitable harvest by making a gift of land to SDCF and having SDCF hold and manage the land. A portion of the land's net income will be distributed to the nonprofits you recommend each year.
